We Now Have the Benzinga Squawk in Our Chatroom
Dear traders,
We have some great news for everyone. Yesterday we launched a new and important service to our community called the Benzinga Squawk Box. Squawk Box is a breaking news and analysis voice service provided by our great friends at Benzinga. It provides commentary on individual stocks as well as the overall market, and that valuable information can often result in actionable trade ideas. This is an excellent product for those who trade all day. You can find this service by clicking the Benzinga icon and then activating it in our Breaking News Tab (as shown below):
This service is a very important and unique feature of Benzinga Pro (that costs $149/month for users). We reached out to them about 5 months ago and requested this service exclusively to our community. Implementation of this service was not easy as this media has to be broadcast in real time from the Benzinga servers to our chatroom. Bear Bull Traders happily covered the significant cost of this implementation for both Benzinga and ProTrading Room because this service is unique and we understood the importance of it to our traders. In addition, there is a significant monthly licensing fee that Bear Bull Traders has agreed to pay to Benzinga for this service, given that we are offering it directly to our users. This service will be available to all Bear Bull Traders users at no additional charge! We do not plan to increase the cost of membership in our community for this additional service (which would cost $149 for each user if they subscribed to it directly from Benzinga).
On the same day we launched this service, we received much positive feedback. One trader made one of his biggest wins ever by using Squawk Box! Please see below the email we received from Justin, who I met in SF over the weekend:

“Hey Andrew,
Thanks again for suggesting the SF meetup. It was great to meet you and everyone else on Friday.
I know you had a bad trading day today – but don’t apologize when you have a bad one, everyone is still learning from you and is beyond grateful!
Speaking of grateful… I dunno if this will be a trend, but I tried the new Squawk feature today:
- At 11:46 it announced BA (Boeing) would start selling their 737 MAX planes again in Jan.
- There was a short sell off for 1 min, and then bull flagged for 5 min.
- A t 11:52 it started to spike, at 11:53 it opened higher.
- I went in with 100 shares, and partialed out 50% at around 2-3x 1min later.
- Then I went to the gym, and as I write this, I’m still in at about a $15 per share increase!
I’m sure not all days will be like that with Squawk, but damn was that helpful. BA wasn’t even on my radar!
Cheers,
Justin B”
