People Want To Work!
I hope you are all doing well and trading safe. I have some personal updates for you from my journey on Everest. I have now made my initial push to Camp 3. It was one of the most challenging things I have done in my life. The weather is so cold, you can feel your bones, despite wearing a thermal suit. I had to come back and rest and regroup, and then I will make another push later this week.
I also met Gina Rzucidlo, a very strong American climber from New York City, who is on the way to becoming the first American female to climb all 14 peaks that are over 8,000 m (+26,000 ft)! She is carrying a “Woman Life Freedom” flag to the top of the world in support of the amazing women of Iran and their peaceful protests for what we would consider simply basic rights.
I have been humbled a few times over the years, but this trip will certainly be a pivotal chapter in my life. The people I have met, as well as the mountains, are shaping my character for the better. Thank you all for being part of this journey with me.
Now, as for the market, a few weeks ago I explained in our newsletter why “nobody wants to work these days”. My comments were based on the observation that there were 2 unfilled jobs for every unemployed person. I got many responses on how that is true, and how people are looking for more creative ways to make money. Well, Friday’s jobs data really showed that people do WANT to work these days!
Prime-age labor force participation is now at a two-decade high and young people are back in the workforce. Can we really pull off the soft landing?
Today, Thor, Paras, and Brian all traded the Open and made some interesting trades. Paras shorted Tyson Foods, which had gapped down due to news. You can watch the recap here.
In addition, today is the first day of our 9th Peak Capital Trading Bootcamp. A handful of traders will join Peter, Mike, John, and other mentors to fine-tune their strategies. Congratulations to them! I cannot wait to monitor their growth and progress.
We have a great (and busy!) trading week ahead with many companies such as Lucid, Rivian, and PayPal reporting.

To your success,
Andrew
