NYC Meetup, Climbing in Peru, and Happy Birthday USA!
First and foremost, I would like to wish a belated happy birthday to the United States and to all of my American friends.
The United States is the leader of the free world, and it has proudly stood for good everywhere, with its values of human rights, freedom, and more always at the forefront. With its economic and military superiority, Americans can be counted on to take the lead in virtually every major global crisis, from fighting the horrors of fascism and ultranationalism in World War II to securing fast and effective medical and scientific breakthroughs such as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Americans are also a very generous people, sharing their wealth with many international aid and development funds in the most hurting areas of our Earth. No one should take the role of the United States for granted and, as a non-American, I certainly do not. (Dare I add as a trading aside, thank you also America for phenomenal market volatility, GME, and AMC!)
Secondly, we had a blast in NYC this weekend as we celebrated our amazing Thor’s 40th birthday. Traders from all across the US flew or drove to the Big Apple in order to connect with each other. I had a wonderful time meeting new members as well as catching up with many of our seasoned and veteran members such as Saffavat, Dave from CT, Paras, and Hilal. I must confess, my favorite part of our meetups is spending time with people who have been with Bear Bull Traders for several years. As you know, like so many tech startups and other high-performing endeavors, trading has a significant failure rate. As well, for all sorts of reasons, there are people who join our community and then decide after a while to leave trading and attempt a different career path. But, for those who stay, my heart shines when I see them at our meetups! After Saturday night’s party, we hit The Brooklyn Mirage until 4am to enjoy some of the best DJs in the world!

Hilal is very active on Twitter, and he is always willing to respond to questions and help traders out. He also just had a 48k month in June! Congratulations! On the weekend, Hilal posted a screenshot of his IB account. Please make sure to follow Hilal and engage with him. Hilal earned a PhD and although he continues to work as a clinical scientist at a hospital in New York, he is also a passionate trader. I asked Hilal to join BBT as a moderator, but he is too busy right now!

Lastly, I am now in Peru, on a 14-day trip climbing in one of the most beautiful mountain ranges on our planet: Cordillera Blanca. Some call Cordillera Blanca the jewel of the Peru section of the Andes mountain range. I am currently in Cusco, visiting some incredible places such as Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, and Secret Valley. I hope you will follow my Instagram and Facebook. I’ll be doing some live sharing as well as “photo sharing” from a most beautiful corner of Earth. I just tried an exciting drink called “Chicha Morada”!
As always, I can be reached at [email protected]. There may be some delay in responding but I definitely do read all of the emails sent to me. I am the only one reading my emails! There’s no Admin or EA!
To your success,
Andrew
