How Trading has Impacted one of our members
Hello traders,
As you may recall, I am in China right now, experiencing one of the most incredible mountain races in the world: the Four Sisters Ultra on Mt. Siguniang. Mt. Siguniang, in Sichuan Province, is the highest mountain in Western China. This area is known as the “Chinese Alps”, and I can confirm there is some beautiful scenery here, including alpine meadows and murmuring streams.
I participated in the 35km race and finished it in 7 hours and 40 minutes. The race was (obviously!) 35 km (22 miles) in length, at high elevations of around 4,600 m (15,000 ft), with an elevation gain of over 1,700 m (5,600 ft). It was my first serious ultra run, and I loved it! Having completed this first one, I now plan to do more, all around the world, as this is definitely one of the best ways to explore new places and learn about different cultures! I’ve attached some pictures here as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
I missed a few trading days this week, and I do apologize for that. With jet lag, and the 12 hour time difference, it was hard to trade. My apologies again. Next week, I am back to North America!
However, before I get back home, I want to share with you an email I received last week from a trader about how trading has positively changed his life. He is still in the simulator, but what he has learned from trading thus far touched me. Let’s read Mark’s email:
“Hi Andrew, I owe you a much longer email and I promise to do that as my Journey continues.
I bought your book on Amazon a couple of years ago and the first thing I took away from it was the fact I needed to change my life and lifestyle to be successful as a trader. I started looking for a path to improve my life and over that time I did just that. I’m now trading in simulator going on my fourth month and if I follow my rules in the next 2 weeks I will go live, if I need to stay in simulator for 6 more months that’s fine too. I’m in this for the long haul.
I owe you a lot. Even if I don’t make it as a trader you have had a profound impact on my life.
If you ever have doubt about what you do, and what you have created I hope this helps.
Thank you
Mark”
I was excited to read these words. No, you do not owe us anything. You owe it to yourself, your family and your friends who support you in this endeavor and are there for you when you are having a bad day.
But you are correct, sometimes we at Bear Bull Traders do wonder whether we are helping our members enough or not, and how we can better help them more efficiently and effectively work toward their goals. We of course do not have any miracle solution to offer anyone. As corporate trainer and author Gary Ryan Blair affirms, “Success in any endeavor does not happen by accident. Rather, it’s the result of deliberate decisions, conscious effort, and immense persistence…all directed at specific goals.”
I love to share pictures of my climbing and running and traveling with you as a way to encourage you to go out and explore nature and enjoy the beauty of our planet. Hopefully you will be able to experience the freedom that comes with being a successful trader. I certainly have, but it was not in any way an easy path. And neither was the Four Sisters Ultra!
