How I Try to Recover from a Heavy Loss

How I Try to Recover from a Heavy Loss

Dear Traders,

My apologies for not trading today. Yesterday was a bad day and I suffered a heavy loss (you can watch my recap here). I seem to have lost a bit of confidence in my ability to read the market (only for a short period of time I hope and sense!). I accordingly decided to take a break from trading today. I plan to go back to the office after my run and just focus on Peak Capital Trading and our new Trading Terminal. Megan has posted a nice video on how to recover from bad trading losses. You can watch her video here.

Peter led an excellent webinar last night, even though he has tested COVID positive since returning from our NYC meetup. All Elite members can access the recording of his webinar in the Education Center. John made this meme for him. In order to attend and participate in all of our webinars, please make sure to take advantage of our 50% off promotion and upgrade your membership to our Elite annual plan.

Tonight, for Wednesday Psychology, trading psychologist Rande Howell will be presenting a webinar entitled: Keeping Emotional Control When the Money is Real. There is a disconnect between thinking (knowledge) and emotion (performance) that is the missing link in your striving to become the trader you know you can be. You push emotion to the background, thinking that is the way to trade. Then it fails, again. The truth is that emotion and knowledge have to be built into a new partnership for you to become the trader you can be. Please take the time to attend tonight’s webinar and learn how to awaken your hidden strengths and grow them into the skills needed for consistent success in trading. Rande’s webinar begins at 8pm ET.

Yesterday, Ardi hosted an amazing talk with Michael Gayed on our YouTube Live. Please make sure to watch the conversation here and subscribe to our channel here. We go live 3 times a week – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – at 3:30pm ET.

I’m sorry about not trading today. I am a human just like you. I’ll be working on trying to get back into my right mindset.

To your success,
Andrew
